It’s officially October. Bring on all things fall, cozy, pumpkins, and Halloween. I love this time of year. To me it kick starts a season of spending time with your family, making memories and new traditions from now until the new year. There are so many holidays and occasions over the next few months that just warm my heart, and especially now that Scarlett can really start to enjoy them, I figured you might as well. That’s why I am sharing some photos of us picking pumpkins yesterday at Brown’s Harvest in Windsor.
It’s a wonderful family environment with lots of activities for the kiddos to do (even though Scarlett is still to young.) There are hay rides, corn mazes, and, of course, pumpkins. We grabbed a few for the front steps (but we are holding off on the pumpkins we will carve for Halloween because we don’t want them to rot!) We also were sure to grab some apple cider donuts!
Scarlett was able to enjoy herself more than last year (we had to take her picture of her leaning up against a pumpkin last year because she couldn’t sit up on her own yet!) However, I know as the years go on, she will hopefully learn to enjoy these moments more and more. Until then, Dave and I will cherish them for her. Pumpkin picking is just the start of a season filled with precious moments.
My sweater is from the Nordstrom Sale this past July. It’s finally time to break out those pieces we bought a few months ago! I have it linked below along with the rest of my look and similar items to what both Dave and Scarlett are wearing.
Happy October loves! Will you be going pumpkin picking with your friends and family? What traditions are you most excited for?
