NYFW Runway Street Style Travel

If you have been following my on social media, you know that I experienced NYFW for the first time over this past weekend. And guys, it was such a blast! This is something I have always dreamed of doing; attending fashion shows and industry events but I never thought it would be possible, especially considering I no longer live in the city (I did for a few years for school but that was almost 10 years ago!) However, it seems as though blogging is my ticket to the event and boy, was it a busy couple of days.

The first day was definitely the busiest. I hopped right off the train at Grand Central and basically ran to the Vaishali fashion show (after an outfit change of course.) I then went back to the Upper East Side where I was staying (thanks to my cousins!) and changed for my evening event and the Cindy Monteiro Show. I attended the Style Collective NYFW party with my friend Emily from The Mod Mama (she was my NYFW buddy all weekend and we had such a great time!) We met the creator and founder of Style Collective, Annie Spano, enjoyed a rosé bar and some sweet treats, as well as getting our hair and makeup touched up! It was a fabulous yet busy day!

The second day was just as busy. I woke up and met Emily for brunch at Westville Chelsea before attending the Runa Ray show. Afterwards, we hopped over to the Interview Magazine event where we got some lunch, got my makeup touched up again (it was a constant struggle) and charged our phones (super important for a day running around NYC!) Then we ran down to SOHO because we just had to visit the wall that was put up just for NYFW. Talk about the perfect Instagram moment! Then we had to shoot over to the highlight of our weekend, the Christian Soriano show! It was definitely the best produced fashion show attended plus we saw a few celebrities, such as Vanessa Williams, Leslie Jones, and Patrica Clarkson! The show was colorful and fabulous with lots of movement and included a few plus size models! Coco Rocha opened and closed the show, which was truly an amazing site to see as she is one of my favorite super models!

My final day in the city was a little less hectic. We tried to attend the Dan Lui show but it was overbooked which was super disappointing. However, I attended a fabulous brunch at Cantina Rooftop with about 20 of my Style Collective sisters and it pretty much made up for missing the show. I love meeting friendly fellow bloggers who are just so kind and willing to share their advice and experiences. It was the perfect way to end my weekend before dashing off back home to Connecticut.
