OOTD // Casual Beach Look

We have waited what feels like quite a long time, but it’s finally here. Beach season! Days of relaxing in the sand and soaking up the sun our in our near future! And when I make the trip, I definitely opt for a casual beach look that is simple and comfy.

Let’s face it. When we are at the beach, typically we spend the majority of our time in our bathing suits.  That’s why the clothing I wear on my way to or when I am trying to take a break from the sun are easy to put on and take off. These drawstring shorts are perfect for such an occasion. Plus I am in love with the embroidery and fringe hem details on them.

I paired the shorts with a super breezy cold shoulder top. It is a cropped top so it definitely has that casual beach vibe but will also look good if you decide to stop in somewhere for lunch or do some shopping. What is most important about this outfit, though are the efforts made to protect your skin. That’s why it’s always important to pack a hat (and sunscreen of course!) This straw hat from J. Crew is the perfect poolside or beach hat and looks super cute for almost any other outdoor occasion.

Finally, when I go to the beachy, I really don’t try to be fancy. I typically slip on some basic sandals because as soon as I hit the sand they are coming off! I found these amazing tasseled Rebecca Minkoff sandals at Marshalls but I linked some similar styles below.

The majority of the pieces in my casual beach look are either sold out or unavailable online so I linked similar pieces as the bottom of this post. I hope your summer is filled with beautiful and fun days at the beach!
