Ruffles are literally a MUST HAVE for spring. I mean you can’t go into any store or onto any online retailer and not find ruffles upon ruffles. Is it the femininity that draws people in or the movement of the fabric? My answer is all of the above.
This top is a ruffle overload and I love it (even though my husband keeps referring to it as the “puffy shirt from Seinfeld” and keeps quoting it by saying “but I don’t want to be a pirate!”) The layers are so much fun and the sleeves are the real show stopper here. Plus, this is my second off the shoulder top and I have to say my confidence in wearing them is growing (I also think I am starting to become addicted to them!)
Another trend I decided to try that I wasn’t too sure about (at least on me) was the half up bun hair style. The reason I always felt so apprehensive about wearing my hair this way is because my hair is thin and I always thought my little bun would look silly. Also, I figured it would look best with the texture of my natural wave as opposed to straightened or curled, which can be unpredictable because sometimes my natural hair can be a little less wavy and a little more frizzy. But luckily I think the style really worked out for me, especially to showcase my new Sugarfix by BaubleBar earrings!
It was fun to add little bits of color to this look with the accessories yet keeping the outfit itself neutral. I am in love with this look and I know I will be wearing it on repeat all season long.
