For the second look in this three part feature on how to style a bodysuit, I went a little more feminine than the first look. Plus I added a punch of color. I chose to wear this adorable pineapple bodysuit with a burnt orange sarong-like skirt that I bought a few years ago. The color felt like the perfect choice because it almost reminded me of the actual color of a pineapple. So why not play that up, right? I also love the midi length because it adds a bit of sophistication to the look.
Even though I wanted this look to be more girly, I still wanted to have a somewhat casual feel. That’s why the denim jacket was essential. Not only did I choose a lighter denim jacket as opposed to a more traditional medium hue, but I also chose a jacket that had a few minor rips in it. This really offsets any formality that the skirt brings to the outfit. Also to keep this look on the casual side, I chose my lower heeled black studded sandals instead of a high heel.
I think the highlight of this outfit, besides the bodysuit OF COURSE is my designer knock off of the ever popular bamboo arch bags by Cult Gaia. Can you believe that I found this lookalike at Marshalls for only $35?! Talk about a win! I seriously could not believe it when I found it! Unfortunately, it is unavailable online and for that price so I linked the real deal below. Sorry!
All of these pieces with the exception of the bodysuit are older pieces from my wardrobe so I linked similar items for you to shop below. And be sure to stop by tomorrow for look #3!
