3 Ways to Style a Bodysuit // Part 1 – Striped Culottes

This summer, I decided to try an item of clothing that I thought I could never wear…a bodysuit. Now don’t ask me why, I just always assumed they were for the tall, slender type (which I am not.) However, to my surprise, bodysuits are not only flattering on most body types, but they are also super versatile. That’s why I have decided to show three different ways to style a bodysuit.

When it comes to what type of bodysuit you wish to rock, it’s totally up to you and your personal style. I decided to go with one that would go with a lot but since I also enjoy fun, novelty pieces, I decided to snatch up this little black pineapple graphic bodysuit.

For the first look I decided to go a little more dressed up and paired it with some pinstriped culottes. Maybe because it’s not the most traditional pairing is what made me want to style it this way. Typically you would think that these striped pants were meant for a more formal/professional setting, whereas the bodysuit gives you a more casual vibe. Surprisingly though, the two pieces together balance each other out: the black and white seamlessly go together. Also, the wider leg proportions of the pants work so well with the body conscious suit.

I would wear this outfit to work, happy hour, shopping, dinner, pretty much anywhere. It’s not too casual but also isn’t too dressy. This combo is stylish and cool, adventurous but not too out there.

This is just look one out of three. Be sure to check in and see other ways you can style a bodysuit! And shop the look below. Don’t forget, this bag featured is a great designer dupe and you can get it from ILYMix for 20% off by using the code 5FEET20.
