The true test of a petite fashion blogger like myself is styling a pair of flats and not making yourself look like a shrimp. It can be difficult but this is real life and seeing as I am a mom of an almost 1-year-old, the chances of me wearing flats in my everyday life is very likely.
I shared these mules a little over a week ago and have been dying to put them to actual use. I obviously wanted to style them with pants because not only is it still chilly here in CT but I think this pointed toe style would look best with pants rather than a skirt or dress. I thought my rolled up boyfriend jeans would be perfect because they wouldn’t drag on the ground (like some of my jeans do when I wear them with flats) and because they would add a more casual vibe against the more polished feel that the metallic material gives off.
I also wanted to incorporate another huge spring trend into this look, and as I stated a few posts ago, striped shirts are crucial for the season. I like this one because it actually ISN’T a button down (I can struggle real hard with those) yet still gives off that kind of effortless vibe. Also, the stripes on this shirt are vertical which is like my best friend because it adds a the illusion of length and height (and thinness, but that’s another story!)
As I mentioned on Instagram, I recently got this top (like literally this past weekend) however could not find it online. So I will be keeping my eye out for it because I’m hoping that it’s just super new and that it will be popping up in the next week or so. Until then, I linked a similar shirt below! Happy spring guys!
