Yesterday was my husband’s birthday and we had someone watching the baby so we could have a fun date night with friends to celebrate his last birthday of his twenties. We love our little girl, but we were excited to have some adult time. So I wanted to have fun with my outfit, too.
I have been in search of a good black faux fur vest for the past couple of years. Don’t get me wrong, I have many other fur vests…brown, white, blackish grey…but I wanted a pure black fur vest. I finally found one that I am obsessed with (I mean it has pockets!!) and I decided to break it out for our little night out. I knew I wanted to pair it with leather leggings because I love the contrasting materials. Plus the faux fur with the faux leather have an element of sexiness without having to show any skin.
I thought I would break up the all black with a black polka-dotted blouse. I get it…you’re probably thinking how is wearing a black blouse breaking up an all black outfit? You’d be surprised how mixing a pattern in can break up a monochromatic look, even in all black. And I’m not going to lie, I am going to be carrying my new bordeaux bag with me every chance I can because I am seriously in love. #sorrynotsorry
