OOTD // Fall Wedding

To be honest, every wedding I have ever been to has been in the summer. This isn’t a surprise considering most weddings are typically in the late spring/early summer. However, it seems to be growing more and more popular for weddings to be in the late summer/early fall and this weekend I went to my first fall wedding. What makes it a little more difficult is that evenings tend to get really chilly really fast so┬ádressing accordingly can be a bit of a challenge.

I found this gorgeous merlot lace dress at Marshalls, and I knew it was perfect for this fall wedding because this color is one of my favorites for the season. The high neckline is sophisticated but the a-line skirt is flirty and ready to party. But again, when it gets chilly outside you don’t want to throw on a large parka and ruin your entire look so I decided to drape my leather jacket over my shoulders, giving an elegantly edgy outerwear option.

I finally wore my new Louboutins because I was waiting for a special occasion and what is a better occasion than a wedding? They helped balance the black of the jacket along with the studded box clutch I carried all evening. Besides, I felt a little extra giddy in my step knowing I had on such special shoes.

Until next time, xoxo
