OOTD // Wide Leg Palazzo Pants

Well it seems as though summer isn’t leaving without a fight. After having some pretty crummy weather, temperatures are back up into the 90s. And if it weren’t for all the pumpkin flavored everythings starting to emerge, fall would be the last thing on my mind.

I truly am over wearing shorts (even though I feel like that’s all I posted this summer!!) and am really looking forward to rocking jeans again. Hello they are my second skin. But on days like today when the air is thicker than butter, sometimes you don’t want the restriction of jeans. That’s why these wide leg palazzo pants are amazing. They are as breathable and airy as if you were wearing a maxi skirt but have the functionality of pants. And they feel like pajamas. Um. Winner winner!

Being short statured, I have to pair sky high shoes with these pants or else I will trip over them all day. I found these AMAZING platforms at Charlotte Russe about a month ago for literally $5 (hence they are sold out!) The burnt rust color went with the pattern in these pants so well, it was like a match made in heaven. I kept my top basic but really played up the 70s vibe I was feeling with some round mirrored shades. Obviously my fringe crossbody was the perfect bag to wear with this outfit. If I were to do a lot of summer concerts or festivals, this look would fit in perfectly. But instead, I’m a new mom who works from home who is just trying to stay cool, comfortable, and overall stylish.

Until next time, xoxo.
